Station One Architects
After 28 years, Craven Huston Powers Architects (CHPA) has rebranded as Station One Architects (SOA). Paying tribute to the office building’s roots as Chilliwack’s very first fire hall, SOA wanted a fresh, dynamic brand to reflect the youthful and charismatic personality of the present day culture of the company.
As the in-house designer for the company I worked directly with the firm partners to create the new brand from the ground up.

brand rationale
Architecture is as much an art as it is a science. This logo and brand identity represents the duality of precision and artistic elements that come together to create a beautiful harmony in their differences.
The bold, structured elements within the logo represent the precision and exact science needed to create a stable and strong building.
The contrast of the fluid, textural contours through the rest of the brand elements offset the structural aspects of the logo, and speak to the more creative artistic side, as well as the life within the buildings we design and build.
